Misato Odanaka
Misa earned a bachelor of arts in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. She previously worked at Toshiko Mori Architect in New York and subsequently at Blackburn Architects in Washington, DC, where she worked on equestrian architecture as well as small-scale residential and commercial projects.
Selma Catovic Hughes
Selma has been working with us since 2000, both here in DC and from Baton Rouge, Denver, and currently, at the University of Arkansas where she is Adjunct Professor in Architecture. She and her husband, Michael Hughes, were recently given awards by both the ACSA and Colorado Chapter of the AIA for the Moreland Residence in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Selma has a Master of Architecture from the University of Denver and and BA in Architecture from the University of New Mexico.
Alex Stitt
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with Magna Cum Laude distinctions from the Ohio State University. His previous architectural experience has been with R. McGhee & Associates, in Washington D.C., where he was involved in small to medium-scale residential and commercial projects. He also worked with the Virginia Sustainable Building Network as a graphic designer and architectural consultant.
Michael Rouse
As a native to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Michael comes to HSA with varied experience. His previous design work ranges from waterfront homes along the Chesapeake to a new 40-acre town center for a commuter suburb of New York City. He has a Master of Architecture and a Certificate in Urban Design from the University of Maryland.
Rina Wiedenhoeft
Rina holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts
from Rhode Island School of Design. Her previous architectural experience
had been with the firms Tobey + Davis in Virginia and and SmithGroup
in Washington D.C., where she was involved in large institutional
and cultural projects. She came to HSA in the fall of 2002. Rina
designed the HSA website.
